چکيده
Quality assessment of software plays a vital role in the creation of software systems that operate reliably, can be maintained easily, and exhibit superior performance capabilities. The challenge of using the software metrics that exist (over 50 different metrics exist in the areas of Complexity, Coupling, Maintainability etc.) is that there is no universal standard or systematic approach to interpreting and implementing these metrics across a wide variety of projects and settings. In addition, newer development models (e.g., Continuous Deployment and Flexible Deployment) introduce quality metrics not accounted for by conventional metrics. The goal of this seminar is to provide a comprehensive review of software quality metrics and an analysis of the metrics available as well as an analysis of the relationship between the various types of quality metrics, quality attributes, and project-specific elements to offer a context-specific approach to evaluate software quality with a more precise and data-driven way to determine software quality levels. This will provide researchers and industry professionals with an avenue for increasing both the level of reliability and maintainability and the performance level of their applications
