Abstract:
Helicopters have various applications such as military, relief …. So we need to have a system available to the pilot using its radar can see all obstacles in front of the helicopter. In this dissertation analysis, design and simulation of the radar antenna is done. The system should be sweep a sector in front of the helicopter in a very short time and if there are obstacles, reports it to the pilot. The radar antenna should have the ability to provide optimum performance. So using a purely mathematical analysis was conducted on the antenna structure, relationships emerged for the first time that without using these relationships, in practice, take advantage of this antenna is not possible. The extracted mathematical equations are the relationship between the mechanical rotation angle of the antenna and beam rotation angle and rotation of the wave polarization in scanning mode. By extracting these relationships became clear that on the contrary, the relationship between the rotation angle of the antenna beam and the mechanical rotation angle of the antenna are a nonlinear relationship. Comparison of the relationship and the simulation results show that they confirm each other.
