Abstract:
Proper selection of suppliers is one of the critical strategies to enhance the quality of organization outputs. Supplier evaluation and selection include analyzing and measuring the performance of a set of vendors. This work is carried out to rank them with the aim of improving the competitiveness in the entire supply system. In addition supplier development is one of the issues in supply chain management. Success in supplier development lead to improve the performance of suppliers and buying firms. Data envelopment analysis is one of the supplier evaluation methods. That is a sufficient tool to calculate efficiency of suppliers. Furthermore, it gives supplier development strategies to improve their performance.
We know decisions in real-world is depend on risks and uncertainties but risk in procurement on drug supplying may lead to risk in human life. So in this study, a robust data envelopment analysis is provided for supplier evaluation and selection in the drug supply chain under uncertainty. Then, using a clustering method, developed suppliers, suitable and unsuitable suppliers for development are identified. Then, the dual model for development strategies and improving supplier performance, has been developed. The results of the model implementation for supplier evaluation of the fifteen suppliers of Atra pharmaceutical company reveals efficiency of the proposed model.
