Abstract:
Energy harvesting process is transducing the available ambient energy to electrical energy. Range of Great Power generation is MW; However energy harvesting systems involved, operate in μW- mW power range. Energy harvesting devices frequnently deal with mechanical, thermal and radial energies. Some of the harvestable energy sources are kinetic energy of human activity, solar radiation, ambiant casual vibration, RF waves and human body heat. The most important challenge of energy harvesting scheme involved is maximizing the electrical power generation.
In this thesis, power conditioner block of a system with the capability of harvesting human body thermal energy by mini transducer on skin is designed. With respect to the research about output power of these energy transducers, computations and simulation results, demonstrate that with this approach, it is possible to generate sufficient electrical power (in the range of mW) for micro-electronic systems.
