Abstract:
With the increase in vehicles, increasing fuel prices, increased sensitivity to environmental protection and the same lack of success and effective alternative fuel for vehicles, reducing fuel consumption and consequently reduce the production of CO_2 is one of the most important issues in the world today. For this reason, research on transportation, especially road transportation will find a special place. Intelligent transportation systems are transportation management systems or new traffic services that can provide flexible management platforms by integrating with information, communications, sensors, controls and computer technologies. Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks, are wireless communications technology which has the ability to form an Ad-hoc network and mobile wireless communication between moving vehicles which are equipped with onboard unit (OBU) and road networks which are equipped with roadside units (RSUs) by V2I and V2V communication. This kind of networks have a promising new area of research is the intelligent transport system applications for purposes such as improving intersections efficiency, reduce traffic congestion, improve the efficiency of road network, reducing traffic accidents, reduce energy consumption and to reduce environmental pollution through adornment and close coordination of people, vehicles and roads,. In this thesis a comprehensive review of ways to help reduce fuel consumption and reduce environmental pollution by employing traffic routing and offering the best eco-driving mode according to the real-time traffic conditions has been provided. A new eco-friendly method for vehicle routing is proposed and its efficiency has been analyzed with simulation.
