Historical buildings of a country are a part of the cultural id of the people who have lived there. Among these buildings we can name the building that is attributed to one of the greatest men in Iranian history, Mirza Taghi Khan Amir Kabir. It is situated in Markazi Province, 18 km from Arak city in the green village of Hazaveh. At first glance it might look like a simple rustic construction, but it is filled with genuine architectural intricacies that are very valuable. Apart from the architectural characteristics of the building, the real value of it is its attribution to a great man like Amir Kabir (The glory of a place goes back to its inhabitants). Hence it is necessary to study the village generally and survey the penetration area and its neighbors in detail to achieve suitable information about the position of this valuable work in the past and present. Before any restoration we need to find out the cause. Collaboration of constructional elements, even distribution of forces , resistance of the foundation in face of imposed forces are among the elements and necessary conditions for creating stability and survival of the building. Hence, before any restoration takes place in the building itself or its construction, it is necessary to deal with disruptive elements. Disruptive elements are a group of damages which play key roles in changes in the form of the construction and destruction of the building. The most important disruptive element in this building is humidity which has been cause to different ascending and descending damages in the building. Among other important factors is the depletion of the building material due to its age and lastly the unsuitable appendixes which have been added to the building in the course of years. Hence whatever measure taken for preservation of the structure has to be with least interference so that the building can maintain its coordination with the contexture.
The proposed plan of the author will end up to founding of a museum and cultural center, based on researches and the needs of the village’s contexture in which all work related to Amir Kabir himself are displayed and creating a suitable atmosphere to study and know the great people of our country’s history, especially Amir Kabir’s character. Next to it there will be residential areas, parking, and handicraft store to meet the needs of the visitors.
The following research method is field research and asking locals and informed individuals. The base of it is library research and gathering documents.
