In the late 80s, a frame work for studying emotion management emerged after emotions were distinguished as part of a job. Emotion management is a process that people use to cope with unpleasant emotions. It is defined as controlling the inner states and expressing them in an appropriate way. Western researchers have spent many years examining emotion management and its consequences. Most of which presented negative consequences such as inauthenticity and self-alienation. But there always has been an unexplored dimension, the spiritual side of human being which is regarded as the deficiency of related models previously presented. After examining emotion management literature, we presented emotion management model using grounded theory which is grounded on religious training of Islam as the perfect source of culture and life style. Data is gathered from 40 different books. In the final model the emotions as the core category, causal conditions, context, intervening conditions, strategies and outcomes are presented. The major finding is that emotion management is a positive phenomenon which leads to perfection, satisfaction and happiness.
