Abstract:
Long wating lists is one of the biggest complaints in public health sector (One of the biggest complaints heard in public health sector is related to hospital waiting times) that justify many studies about patient wating time reduction. In other words, one of the most important issues in the field of operating room scheduling is patient satisfaction and waiting time reduction in operating theater. So in this study, operating theater of a hospital with surgeries congestion is considered that need operation scheduling for elective surgeries to minimize patient wating time. Goal of this study is the presentation of a MIP model for daily operating rooms scheduling with consideration of staff shift changing and PACU capacity limitation, based on predetermined master surgical scheduling (MSS). Other constraints consist of operating rooms, surgen, staff and other limited surces. For proposed model evaluating, real samples are collected (gathered) and analized.
