Abstract:
Short-chain esters are in the midst of the most important and most rewarding class of organic compounds, because they are used in construction of a wide range of products such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, lubricants, fragrances, food preservatives, etc. The isoamy acetate or 3-methylbutyl ethanoate With annual production is one of the most used esters inpharmaceutical, beverage, food, cosmetic and perfume industry consultation bananas.
In this work we used the ball-milled seashellsasa nano-biocomposite catalyst for the synthesis of isoamyl acetate optimized by response surface methodology. The outstanding characteristics of this methodology are heterogeneous conditions, renewable and non-toxic catalyst, high activity and low price compared to other catalysts which are acidic and toxic.Response surface methodologywas applied to optimize the effect of some parameters such
as the molar ratio of acetic alcohol to acid, catalyst loading, reaction temperature, and reaction time on the yield of theisoamyl acetate.
