In this work, mesoporous silica syntheses by two method, sol-gel, with various amount of cationic surfactant cetyl three methyl amonioum bromide (CTAB) as structure directing at the acidic condition and solution combustion method, then adding surface factor sodium dodecyl solfunate (SDS). To study product characteristic is done by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy analysis (SEM,TEM), BET, phase analysis (XRD, Low Angle XRD, FTIR). Furthermore, studying the effect of additive surfactant and adding SDS. The result of experiments declare additive amount of CTAB, from 0 to 1 gr, surface area is change from 315 to 549 m2/gr and the pore size and the pore valume increases to 17.3 nm and 2 cm3/g respectively. The effect of additive SDS is similarity too. but surface area increases out of three times as much by additive SDS. Follow studying by syntheses mesoporous silica as an absorbent at the omission of methylene blue (MB) from aquatic solution at the laboratorial codition and effects of different times of reaction contact, amount of surfactant (CTAB), additive SDS, and density of solution.
