Abstract
What nowadays engrosses big countries, is organizing cities, especially those big cities with millions of people in it, and citizens who need fundamental infrastructure for their transformational needs. it’s been decades now that solving traffic problems is one of the major concerns of city managements around the globe, which every year led them Resorting to improve laws, culture, several trophic plans and etc., but these kind of solutions doesn’t address the overcrowding and traffic of metropolises like Tehran. We should change the infrastructures and enable the modern ways of IT for that matter. transportation in traditional ways is not working anymore, with this Population growth and traffic Dilemma, smart transportation is one of the best options that we in this thesis, attempt to study, by surveying several types of smart transportation systems that used in cities with different particulars which started to plan and act years ago, in the following order: first an overview of smart cities, IoT and smart transportation systems and Study of influential factors on urban traffic and traffic control systems, following with descripting some Successful experiences. In the third season, first, we represent a model from current situation, according to last season’s studies, and then we present our proposal. Implementation methods of plan are also presented in season three and the season four is for evaluation and highlighting the challenges among the road. In the final season, we represent best ways to Implement the plan and run for it.
