Abstract:
Gheynarjeh hot spring with temperature of 86 degrees centigrade as hottest mineral spring in the world is located in the hillside of Sabalan Mountain and 12 Kilometers far from the south of the Meshkinshahr city at Ardabil Province of Iran. The objective of current work is using this spring hot water for preheating of natural gas in the nearest pressure drop station to this spring at south of Meshkin shahr city.
In this paper, Fossil Fuels consumption in heater of Meshkin Shahr natural gas pressure Drop Station has been eliminated and instead, heat energy from hot water of Gheynarjeh spring is used, that is located at hillside of Sabalan mountain and 12 Kilometers far from the south of Meshkin Shahr city and has an elevation of 600 meters from Meshkin Shahr city level.
At first, According to critical situation among year that ambient temperature reaches -17.5 degrees centigrade, a heat exchanger similar to the previous heater with eliminating combustion chamber and small changes in structural properties of heater is designed. In new configuration, the maximum required inlet mass flow rate and temperature of hot water for coldest day of year, was found to be 8 Kg/s and 80 degrees centigrade, respectively.
After designing of heat exchanger under consideration of coldest day of the year, averaged monthly results for other months obtained. In the next step, According to critical situation among year that ambient temperature reaches -17.5 degrees centigrade and maximum mass flow rate and hot temperature, required pipeline configuration for hot water transmission designed. Required pipeline should be made of hard polyethylene and has inner and outer diameters of 35 and 50 millimeter, respectively that is completely covered with polyethylene (XLPE-EPE) insulation of 100 millimeter thickness to pipeline outlet temperate not to be less than desirable value of 80 degrees centigrade.
