The purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between knowledge management and its components with gaining competitive advantage in branches of Mellat Bank of Tabriz. This research is applied in terms of purpose and based on the nature and method of correlation type. The survey population includes all employees working in the branches The Bank of Mellat city of Tabriz has a minimum of 242 graduate degrees and 140 students have been selected by simple random sampling method according to the Morgan table. The data collection tool, the Standardized Knowledge Management (KM) 2001). With 38questions and 17 questions, there is a competitive advantage. The content of the questionnaire is verbal and using The opinion of the professors of this field was studied. To measure reliability, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient index was used which was 0/890 for the KM questionnaire and 0/850 for the competitive advantage. In this research, the spss version software 16 were used and the following statistical tests were used: Cronbach's alpha to assess the reliability of the questionnaire, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to test the normality of the research data and the regression test to test the hypotheses of the research. The results of the test show that Each of the components of knowledge management is knowledge acquisition, knowledge recording, knowledge transfer, creation of knowledge and application Knowledge has influenced competitive advantage. And among these variables, the creation of knowledge and the application of knowledge have the greatest impact.
