Abstract:
pharmaciucal hard gelatin capsule manufacturing industry , which is produced in Iran exclusively by Iran Gelatin Capsule, increase quantity and improve quality are main and vital issues, therefore Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) index , that calculated by multiplying availability, performance and quality could has best coverage to increase quantity and quality. In this research that has been used from case study metod, role of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in increase of overall equipment effectiveness is stated. This company has been able to increase OEE from 82% to 89% (equal to 372 million capsule per a year) with uses obove system in permanent work production lines(24 hours per a day and 365 days per a year). based on experience gained CMMS and TPM are essential in increasing effectiveness process,. For achive best performance in TPM, eight steps of that have been done, but according to results, two steps of them, "Autonomous maintenance" and "Focused improvement" have been most impact to increase overall equipment effectiveness.Based on done research and practical obtained results in Iran gelatin capsule company, OEE is best index to increase productive of companies that have permanent work production lines and using CMMS and TPM are two major ways to improve this indicator
