With an increase in physical, social, and environmental consequences of population growth, the incidence of cases of neighborhoods as the basic units of the city structure has begun and by increasing in this trend a new concept of citizenship comes ahead that it might be called estrangement or local alienation that although in the past it was in a neighborhood scale (residents of a neighborhood came stranger to residents of another neighborhood), but today this distance gone ahead to the border of the neighborhood and the vicinity of the neighborhoods and it has changed the scale of estrangement. Undoubted, the continuation of this process put the pillars of the sustainability of social environment means, local community’s sustainability, at risk.
During recent years with the approach and social sustainability look, some researches on neighborhoods have taken place, however often limited on doing measurement and monitoring on the current status based on the indicators and criteria of sustainability in the social field and less executive and operational solutions, design intervention or structural planning in confronting with social issues have presented .Now the main question is:
• what are structural confrontation solutions about social issues of a local scope’s context?
•How structural encounter in the neighborhood, as the half public field, could be stimulus the social links beyond the private fields, and how the output of local social studies of a local area to achieve a responsive environment, could be consistent with sustainable urban design criteria?
In fact, the challenge of this study is to achieve approaches for consensus results of study area from the perspective of the dimensions of sustainability (social, structure, natural) and achieve solutions of designing with (Based on) social goals.
