Roundabouts are constructed to ease the traffic. Since the high volume of traffic from different paths arrive at the intersection of roundabout, should be amended variables such as safety, speed, latency and capacity if necessary in the initial design and geometric design. Simulation is widely being used in traffic engineering. The emergence of new ideas in management, traffic control and increase the scale of the issues discussed in this context are the main reasons for the increasing use of simulation software. A plurality of simulation software and full range of amenities proof of this claim. Aimsun is a software that gives traffic assignment models shipping offers at three levels. In this thesis to study the effects of geometric design parameters of capacity and traffic parameters, Nabovvat square in Tehran was selected as a case study and Aimsun was simulated in software. Thus, with the examination and review of past studies and reviews have been done simulations on different Roundabouts and also using geometric and traffic data obtained by simulation is done.
Provide suggestions for change in the parameters of the geometric plan of the Roundabout, to help the application output, variables affecting the geometric layout altered the existent status for the Roundabout and suggestions raised by the charts and tables check and geometric designs were presented for the best offer. The offer was raised to 12 this simulation was done in Aimsun and end up with a comparison between the best suggestion selected i.e. number 8.
