The vehicle weigh in motion system (WIM) have become one of the essential systems in the automatic monitoring of vehicles traffic in the modern transport system. These fully automated systems are installed on the road and without having to exit the vehicle from the road or slow down, the road vibrations of the car’s wheels are checked.With data processing, data on various parameters, including the weight of the vehicle type (from axis number), total weight and speed of the vehicle will be obtained.In this project, we designed and built a new system of vehicle weigh in motion based on optical fiber. The system consists of four main parts optics, electronics, software and mechanical. In this thesis, a method based on the LP_21 mode that formed in single mode fiber is used. In this method, we have used the rotation mode in the optical fiber that caused due to fiber twisting.The detector used in this thesis is Arduino module and CCD camera for record mode rotation and distribution of intensity.
