The concept of eco-industrial Network is based on several research areas that began in the last 3 decades. One of the most important areas of this studies is Industrial Ecology that is one of the approaches to Sustainable Development.
To succeed in implementing the above objectives, it’s necessary to examine them from a comprehensive point of view, the domain of supply chain management.
On the other hand, the lack of the concentration of relevant studies in this field on the issue of industrial ecology underscored the necessity of designing a supply chain network with industrial ecology considerations. Therefore, in this research, significant linkages between research fields are found in the literature, including multiple engineering disciplines and natural sciences, recycling, waste management and several social sciences. The spare links between industrial ecology and sustainable development and supply chain and reverse logistics.
Then for applying these findings, a three-level supply chain network with environmental interactions between network’s participants is proposed.
The model has been solved by coding in GAMS software in different scales of the network, and according to model structure, the Genetic algorithm is used to solve large scale of the problem and coded in MATLAB software.
The results indicate the validity of effectiveness of the proposed model.
