Abstract
Musculoskeletal pain is one of the major issues in today's world and one of the biggest health problems in developing countries. In office occupations, due to pressures from long-term inaccurate postures, these kind of pains are common. The number of working people sitting behind the desk complains of back, spine and neck pain after a while. For the protection of upper skeletal musculoskeletal organs, experts and specialists have come up with different solutions, such as training to do stretching movements between working hours while sitting at their desks, getting up every 20 minutes and moving in a few steps, using preventive equipment, and other activities like this. Also the use of cervical collar brace and medical orthosis is also recommended for people suffering musculoskeletal problems caused by repetitions of the inappropriate state of the body (upper body) in the sitting position behind the table.
By reviewing the existing devices and studies conducted on users, their failure to answer was identified.
The purpose of this research is to design a smart product that is used to control the awareness of the upper range in sitting position behind the work desk. Due to the damage to the body over time by being in the wrong position of the musculoskeletal system behind the desk, this device can act as a warning to maintain the health of the upper part and maintain a stable and healthy position for long periods of time. In the current research, two research questions have been elaborated and reviewed as follow: "Are neck and backbone preventive and curative equipment effective for inappropriate body posture condition?" and "Which warning tools on the device due to repetition do not reduce the user's attention?” Also, the research hypothesis "If there is a significant relationship between the awareness of the body's condition during work and the level of control of a person on sitting position." has been suggested that it has been analyzed in order to reject and prove it. Research findings have shown that preventive and curative equipment has not been successful in responding fully to the needs of users. On the other hand, studies made to create one's awareness of the state of your body need to be alert. Based on the results of the tests conducted on users, the tactile vibration stimulus is the most effective in the long run. There is also a significant relationship between awareness of body condition and control of sitting position.
According to researchers conducted during the research and feedback received from users and experts, a product with user-approved features and effective, designed and functional model is built. Designed with a user-centric approach, it was evaluated by both by users and experts at each design stage and its functional model, in the end, the final design was confirmed and its functional model was built. In the final evaluation of 10 users, the product was able to meet the needs of defined users.
