Strategy has been the primary building block of competitiveness over the past three decades, but in the future, the quest for sustainable advantage may well begin with the business model. Whenever a business enterprise is established, it either explicitly or implicitly employs a particular business model. It is important to have a good business model, at the beginning of activity of the company. However, to achieve the constant success, it is vital to develop an optimal business model over the time. This could be realized by business model innovation which is a key outcome of the dynamic capabilities.
The purpose of this M.A. thesis is to study the role of the dynamic capabilities in different processes of business model innovation in an e-commerce company. For this purpose, after the literature study and the combination of expert’s advices; we suggest a model for recognition the dynamic capabilities in each element of business model. Then, through this model we explicate the role of micro-foundations of the dynamic capabilities in different processes of business model innovation. Finally, we investigate mutual relations between the dynamic capabilities which were utilized effectively on business model innovation in Netbarg Company. The results of this dissertation will provide some innovative methods for developing business model innovation through the dynamic capabilities in Netbarg Company which is the study case of this thesis. Some of these methods are processes to identify latent market demand, Identify and cancel inefficient indicators of resource allocation processes, and cospecialization assets creation.
