Nowadays utilizing structures that are costless, miniaturized and able to integrate, is spreading. The application of these structures in military and industry is undeniable. Leaky wave antennas that have exclusive properties were always under attention, but in most cases this class of antennas has large dimensions and can’t be integrated in compact structures. However, holographic antennas that benefit from dielectric slab waveguides don’t have the aforementioned problem. In this thesis, we introduce TE and TM (dominant modes of propagation) types of holographic antennas. We have implemented a multibeam antenna by means of superposition method which has very high efficiency. In other hand, by using an ultra wideband surface wave launcher for exciting the holographic antenna, completely wide bandwidth has been achieved for the antenna. Eventually, the proposed antenna has been fabricated and tested in order to evaluate its performance
