The performance evaluation of branches is part of the nowadays bank’s concerns. In particular, the high cost of maintaining assets (including buildings, equipment, etc.) coincided with the emergence of new banking technologies and paradigms, that technically called modern banking, e-banking and digital banking, constrained banks to pay attention to this issue more systematically. Ayandeh Bank as one of the 32 active banks and financial institutions in Iran is of no exception to this. Accordingly, the present study aims to rank the efficiency of all 165 Ayandeh bank branches across the country, deploying Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. Of course, in this retouching of the modern banking indicators (for example, indicators related to electronic electronic cards, Internet and mobile banking) are used. Within the scope of literature review carried out in this research indicators we found no trace of using such indicators for calculating efficiency. From another perspective, the present study deploys the traditional indicators representing the capacity of branch branches (for example, the number of counterparts, the area of the branch, and the number of customers) as input variables and the Modern banking indicators as output variables. Following this, the present study determines the shortage of each Ayandeh Bank branch in the output variables for achieving the efficiency boundary, and the branch that each of the ineffective branches can benchmark to improve their performance. Consequently, this research will advise the bank branches how long they need to compensate for their shortfall in each of the output indicators based on their previous performance data.
