This thesis studies applications of Game theory in the control traffic problems. Game theory is "the study of mathematical models of conflict and cooperation between intelligent rational decision-makers". Game theory is mainly used in economics, political science, and psychology, as well as logic, computer science and biology. Traffic control deals with the optimal signal settings in a urban transpotation network. The behaviour of the network user, the car drivers, can be seen as a game between all derivers. Also the intersections between the drivers and the trafic authority, the organ that determines the signal settings, can be interpreted as a game as well.
