The accumulation of materials in nature, which are related to the production of plastic waste, has created many environmental problems for man, due to the significantly increasing production of plastic waste and its dispersion in nature. Moreover, the rate of recycling and production of these material is not equal. Therefore, the potential of debris of the recycled plastic waste from polyethylene bottles for the purpose of reinforcement and improving the behavior of sandy soil has been studied in this research. for this purpose, a series of tests were carried out on mixed sand with crumb rubber which are consisted of polyethylene terephthalate (PT) material with weight 0 to 1.5% percentages of the dry weight, by using a physical model and 10 * 10 cm on direct shear test. In this research, the effect of pet percentage, grain size, relative density, and the shape of foundation were investigated. The results reveals that the environmental positive effects, moreover, adding the pet, up to 6 percent, to the soil lead to enhance the soil's resistance in order to some extent optimized, and the ductility of the soil with PT. Therefore, adding pet to soil is a beneficial and effective way to improve soil resistance.
