Reforming reactions are considering one of the popular chemical reactions for gas synthesis production.propane steam reforming reaction produces hydrogen with high efficiency. The use of a Fluidized bed reactor for hydrogen production with higher Yield and higher Conversion in the propane steam reforming is an important and effective idea. The production of more carbon and low-temperature operations are the properties of propane Steam reforming reaction, which challenges two Fixed bed and Fluidized bed reactors. In the project, the hydrodynamic flow in the reactors in accordance with the conditions the reaction Condition is considered an important factor for the stability and activity of the catalyst. The temperature tests accomplished in two reactors in the temperature range of 600 ° C to 680 ° C have the most differences. In the stability tests, the operating conditions are similar in two reactors, such that the reaction was carried out at a temperature of 600 ° C to 600 ° C in the ratio of steam to low propane (2.5-1.5 / 2-3) ratio. The best stability result at the temperature of 680 ° C was observed in the steam to propane ratio equal to 3in the Fluidized bed reactor, in which the hydrogen yield was 75% and the conversion value was 96%. At the same temperature and steam ratio in the fixed bed reactor, the hydrogen yield and conversion rates were 66 % And 89%. The catalyst stability in the ratio of steam to propane equal to 3 in the Fluidized bed reactor is more than that of the Fixed bed, so that the decrease of the conversion value for the fluidized and fixed is 0.79% and 5.203% respectively. In the steam to propane ratio of 2.5, the difference in the performance of the two reactors is increases. In the Temperature of 650 oC when the Fluidized bed was stabilized, the amount of propane conversion in fixed bed has been decreased to 12.1%. in the feed ratio of 1.5 at T=650oC, same results are obtained for fixed and fluidized bed. Used catalysts characterized by XRD, BET, H2-TPR, FESEM and TGA/DTA analysis. The carbon produced in the Fluidized bed catalysts has a lesser content and reactivity. The surface area of the fluid bed catalysts is higher than that of the fixed bed.
