توجه به انسان و حيات اجتماعي، در ساخت و توسعه شهرهاي امروز امري ضروري به نظر مي رسد و از ابعاد انساني و فرهنگي به عنوان زيربناي توسعه شهري ياد مي‌شود. بافت پيراموني حرم مطهر امام رضا (ع) از طرفي ويژگي‌هاي يك بافت تاريخي با چند صد سال سابقه را داشته و از طرف ديگر حول يك عنصر مقدس شكل گرفته و مفهومي به نام مجاورت را در خود توليد نموده است. با اين وجود شاهديم كه مداخلات و طرح¬هاي توسعه چند دهه اخير مركز شهر مشهد، منجر به از بين رفتن خاطرات جمعي، حس تعلق، خوانايي، جنبه هاي يادماني و آثار و ابنيه تاريخي و خروج ساكنان اصيل و بومي از اين محدوده و به نوعي گسست معنايي و انقطاع تاريخي گشته است. در اين راستا پژوهش حاضر پس از جمع آوري كيفيت هاي معنايي مكان به كمك مطالعه كتابخانه اي، به واكاوي مفهوم مجاورت از طريق مراجعه به متون تاريخي و ديني پرداخته و سپس به منظور تعيين مصاديق و تدقيق شاخص ها در دوره كنوني، اقدام به طرح پرسشنامه كيفي و مصاحبه‌ نيمه ساخت يافته با نخبگان و مردم محلي نمود. از مجموع تحليل داده¬هاي متني مصاحبه‌ها با روش رويش نظريه ، مقولات اساسي مجاورت بدست آمد كه عبارتند از "عناصر و ارزش هاي فرهنگي و تاريخي، ديني و مذهبي، محيطي و كالبدي و آسيب ها و تهديدهاي فرهنگي و كالبدي". در نتيجه هرگونه مداخله و توسعه در بافت پيرامون حرم مطهر مي بايست مبتني بر زمينه¬ها و بستر فرهنگي، تاريخي و اجتماعي آن كه در مفهوم مجاورت جمع شده است، باشد. نهايتاً در فصل پاياني با استفاده از مجموعه يافته¬هاي پژوهش توصيه¬ها و پيشنهادات طراحي شهري جهت ارتقاء كيفيت¬هاي معنايي محدوده مطالعاتي ارائه گرديده است. واژه‌هاي كليدي: معنا، كيفيت¬هاي طراحي شهري، مجاورت، بافت پيرامون حرم امام رضا (ع)، شهر مشهد

Developing Design guidelines for enhancing meaning qualities in the surrounding texture of the Imam Reza holy shrine with emphasis on the proximity concept

Human being and social life seem to be very crucial parameters in modern cities’ development and are considered as the basis of urban development from human and cultural point of views. Holy shrine and its surroundings have the historical characteristic of an urban fabric with more than several hundred years’ history. On the other hand, it has been evolved around a sacred element and produced a concept called proximity in itself. However, the interventions and the development plans of Mashhad city center during the last few decades have resulted in the destruction of collective memories, sense of belonging, readability, memorials aspects, monuments and historical buildings, and the departure of original and indigenous inhabitants from this area and in some way a historical breakdown and semantic failure. In this regard, this study, after collecting the semantic qualities of the place by means of a library study, explores the concept of proximity through referring to the historical and religious texts, and then, in order to determine the examples and the analysis of the indicators in the current period, based on the theoretical framework extracted, it developed a qualitative questionnaire and semi-structured interview with elites and local people. Based on the textual data analysis of the interviews with the grounded theory method, the main categories of proximity were obtained as "cultural and historical, religious and spiritual, environmental and physical values and elements, and cultural and physical threats and losses." As a result, any intervention and urban development of the holy shrine surroundings must be based on the backgrounds and its cultural, historical and social context, which has been gathered in the concept of proximity. Finally, in the final chapter, based on the research findings, urban design recommendations and suggestions have been presented to improve the semantic qualities of the study area.
