Abstract:
Urban trips take place in different ways, such as using a private vehicle, using a public transport vehicle, motorcycle or bicycle, or on foot, in addition, in all cases, some of the trips are inevitably performed on foot. On the other hand, pedestrians are the most vulnerable users of the transportation network, and given that pedestrian casualties in our country are 6 percent higher than the global average and different types of land use, make different trip types and different driving behaviors; each of which has the potential to cause an accident, it is nessecary to analyse pedestrian crashes based on land use. In this project, aiming to investigate the relationship between pedestrian accidents occurring in each land use (commercial, residential, educational, therapauthic, recreational, administrative, etc.) with environmental and road characteristics, population characteristics and income, pedestrian characteristics, vehicle type, time and date of accident, etc., the effect of significant parameters in occurring pedestrian crashes in each land use has been analysed. In this regard, pedestrian crashes has been modeled using the statistics of pedestrian accidents in Kerman in 1395 and field surveys from the exact location of crashes.
