Abstract:
Researchers find housing more than human need for shelter and believe that culture is one of the main issues affecting the form of it. but since the concept of culture is a complex and yet general one by itself, it needs to be developed into measurable components. Lifestyle is a concept largely studied by the relationship between culture and housing.
The transformation of lifestyle throughout different historical periods and the direct relationship between it and the body and form of housing, allows for the study of its effects on the home in different periods. in this research, we are in search to find the way that housing pattern of Kerman has been changed, through studying the course of lifestyle changes in order to show neglecting cultural and anthropological studies has led to a decline in the quality of housing in recent years.
In order to achieve this purpose, a descriptive-analytical method has been employed as the research method. In the first stage, it includes library studies for obtaining the subject literature (Chapter 2) and field studies to collect samples in Kerman, including houses In the Qajar era, the first Pahlavi, Pahlavi II, early revolution and recent contemporary (Chapter 4) have been used.
Then the houses of each period, based on interviews and questionnaires conducted by their residents to obtain a lifestyle, have found physical adaptation in order to determine how lifestyle is affected the form of them.
Lastly, in order to conclude (Chapter 5), all these houses have been put together once through physical analysis and once again through life-style analyzes of the course of their historical changes. The results show that life style transformation has a direct and visible relationship with the home, and lack of knowledge and sufficient studies on this topic has led to the fact that in later periods, homes are not appropriate for their users.
