In this research, in order to identify the factors influencing the effectiveness of business intelligence systems, first, by reviewing the literature, three important factors influencing the use of business intelligence systems were identified. Then, with a little change in previous models, we showed that maturity of business intelligence is an independent variable that affects the efficiency variable (Using of BI). Two variables, data quality and analytical decision culture, have a mediating role in this effect. We then showed that the expected effectiveness would occur after the efficiency and the severity of the effect of this relationship was 36%. Finally, we realized that the type of decision of organizations (strategic decisions, operational decisions) could increase or decrease the effectiveness of the business intelligence system, but the complexity of the environment governing organizations The effectiveness of business intelligence systems has no effect.
It should be noted that the results of this study were obtained from 87 samples collected in a standardized questionnaire and obtained by using structural equation modeling with partial least squares approach using Smart-PLS software. 70% of the participants in this study have had more than 3 years experience in the field of business intelligence systems. However, it has mostly gained experience in the public sector and government organization in Iran.
