Separation mechanism is one of the most important components of the spacecraft, which means failure of the spacecraft or malfunction of that would result in the complete failure of the mission. The separation mechanism consists of three parts of the band, lock and release. Its release mechanism is also classified as explosive and non-explosive. One of the non-explosive discharge mechanisms is the pin puller that, if we want to use it directly from the pin, it can tolerate and execute a low pre-loading force relatively . In this study, a mechanism of the ball lock (consisting of three internal, external and middle segments and 16 ball) and non-explosive pins were combined as a mechanism of the release and then analyzes, with ABAQUS software, such as tension and shocked have been carried out. Also, by use of the response surface method relationship between the effective parameters such as the number of balls and ball diameter with the desired outputs, such as component stress and shock was obtained. Finally, with particle of swarm, optimization in order to minimization of stress was done. Low shock, high pre-load, affordable and low release time are considerable characteristics of this developed mechanism .
