The birth process is the starting point for the individual's life and a new relationship in the family. To help the mother to adapt to this experience, she needs support and care. The space where a woman gives birth can have significant effect on maintaining calmness, confidence and control of mother's emotions, the number of normal births and the rate of cesarean surgery. The present study aimed to identify the individual and cultural needs of Iranian mothers and their families and to identify the effective factors on Indigenization of LDRP rooms with the aim of increasing the satisfaction of pregnant mothers by preserving the privacy and optimizing the physical space of the delivery rooms and making it possible for the family to be present in Along with the mother during delivery process to reduce the rate of cesarean Surgery and encourage mothers to have normal delivery.According to the research questions, descriptive-analytic method was used in this research. The research was conducted in two parts: basic and supplementary. After selecting 8 criteria among the criteria extracted in the basic section with the Delphi method, a questionnaire was designed to prioritize these criteria by using the AHP method. The questionnaire included 8 criteria and 28 questions. The participants of the study were 35 healthcare designers who were asked to Prioritize each of the criteria compared to other criteria on scales of Extreme, Very Strong, Strong,Moderate and Equal,by numbers of 1,3, 7,9. The content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by the opinions that obtained from 5 experts. Then, 20 participants completed the questionnaire in two stages. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated by kappa coefficient and it was higher than 0.7 for all questions. The data of the questionnaires were Entered into the expert choice software and analyzed. After determining the final weight of the criteria with the software, their ranking chart was drawn based on the final weight. Findings of the research showed that the most important criteria in the design of the maternity ward and LDRP rooms were, respectively, access to direct light and natural perspective, The Privacy of the mother's room and the Construction costs to meet cultural needs and The Less valued criteria were, respectively,pleasant spaces for walking pregnant mothers and Providing space for mother's families. In the final step, 3 designed alternatives were judged by 5 experts according to the criteria. The priority of each alternative was measured in relation to the other two alternatives in separate tables. Information from each questionnaire was individually entered in the expert choice software and the final weight of the designed alternatives was drawn based on the criteria in the chart and The alternatives were prioritized respectively. Then the final alternative was chosen.
