Quality of life is in fact a multidimensional and complex concept that has been raised and studied by thinkers of the urban sciences and other thinkers of various sciences, to the point where many of the goals of the plans and plans are to promote the quality of life. The purpose of the concept of quality of life in previous studies is generally the level of enjoyment of the place and its beneficial social, cultural and psychological indicators, and so on in the process of development, which relates to the basic human needs and motives, such as better nutrition, clothing, housing, Health, education, and the creation of opportunities for social interaction, the acquisition of job skills, the expansion of solidarity and social and political participation. However, most studies focusing on measuring the quality of life in a city or in part of a city. In the Islamic countries, extensive research has been conducted on the definition and measurement of quality of life. But many of these studies have been based on global indicators to measure this concept and have been neglected by local values and social beliefs. Some research, which briefly refers to community-based values, has encountered problems in evaluating and measuring them. As a result, it seems that there is a vacuum in the field of measuring the quality of life based on the mental values of Muslims that is of interest to this research. This study tries to review the quality of life in the regional dimension and emphasize the mental indices through questionnaires and interviews with pilgrims on the Najaf route to Karbala by reviewing the world literature on quality of life as well as their indicators and criteria. In the direction of this axis, in recent years, due to the traffic volume of pilgrims, especially in certain periods, is of great importance. And in the other hand, most people passing through this route, regardless of the shortcomings, difficulties and problems that are on the path voluntarily and They use this route with eagerness and are mostly on foot. Each year, due to shortcomings and deficiencies, the number of people in this route, especially during the days leading up to Arba'in Hossein added to the glory of this event. It seems that these people, with the knowledge of the problems on this path with all their heartfelt content and satisfaction, have begun to pose problems. Hence, the question was raised about which citizens, due to what qualities in space, are ready to take on the hardship (weakness in the physical indices considered by Western thinkers)? In other words, is there a difference between the quality of life assessment system in the minds of the pilgrims of the Najaf-Karbala axis during the Arba'in period and the set of western criteria of quality of life (which are mostly objective)? In order to answer these questions, examining the qualities of this route has been studied by pilgrims. These qualities bring people from different parts of the world with cultures, races and different ethnicities, transforming them into a group, as a single entity, which passes through this path. Material seems to have lost color in this path, and spirituality over the entire space of the path is dominant. The findings of the study show that in spite of the many problems that exist on the path and according to western indicators of quality of life, it was not to be welcomed, but another factor, in addition to the factors mentioned in the global literature, was the unparalleled acceptance of this route. , An appreciation that grows year by year. This study shows that measuring the quality of life in the pilgrims' minds is much more than the Western quality of life assessment frameworks, based on the mental indices such as the feeling of social unity, the effect of divine intention on space perception, the feeling of calm from worship and the joy of Political-social action.
