Abstract
Since the purpose of housing is to create an environment in accordance with the human lifestyle in order to meet it’s material and immaterial needs, but in the present time, it is possible to ignore the culture of inhabitants, and the context of construction and climate,we are witnessing the prevalence of idiosyncratic construction and uniformity of construction.
This lack of understanding of the needs of users has reduced satisfaction, the loss of cultural and spatial identity, and the transformation of the social behavior of the inhabitants. Considering that the physical characteristics of the spaces are organized according to the culture of the people and its inhabitants, the recognition of the characteristics of Native housing, as the body of community culture, is essential. In contemporary design, adequate knowledge of the indigenous habitat of the region and the way in which it resides and the needs of today's residents can help to match housing with the context and climate and cultural identity.
The main aims of the research is to identify the patterns of Ardabil's housing over time in accordance with the inhabitants' living patterns and the impact of lifestyle on the pattern of housing in Ardebil. In order to achieve the goals of research and understanding of the lifestyle of today's society living in Ardebil houses ,There were 29 Qajar houses, 15 Pahlavi houses, 18 contemporary houses, which analyzed the species and components extracted, analyzed and evaluated by analytical and descriptive methods, and quantitative and qualitative combination research through Field surveys and information from traditional homes to the present day of Ardebil, as well as with anthropological studies.
At the end of this research, it has been determined that, in the historical context of the Ardebil houses, the functions of the combination of work + rest are progressively reduced to the elimination of work and the transfer of part of it to outer space, resulting in the elimination of functional spaces associated with it. As a courtyard. As time passes and the lifestyle changes, the hierarchy of entry into spaces and service spaces and their dependent physical space is removed or transferred to the residential area.
