Considering that the development activities are increasing and we always have a lot of problems for the loose land, it is important for us to establish a loose ground. The stabilization method is always very popular with injection of stabilizing agents such as cement and lime. With all the benefits to us of cement, the high levels of pollution and emissions of greenhouse gases and high energy consumption are always a global concern.
Geopolymers have been considered as a new generation of cement materials in these years. Given the fact that the production of geopolymers has less energy consumption. Considering that Iran has coal mines and various steel mills, steel and coal slag has become an environmental problem; Due to the increase of land improvement projects and soil stabilization in the country, especially in the southern part of the country, this rich source can be used in soil improvement projects to replace cement, which reduces the production of carbon dioxide and energy and reduces the cost of remediation. In this study, firstly, the evaluation of sandy soils (Firoozkooh sand 161) fixed with geopolymer is investigated using one-dimensional test, which focuses on obtaining optimal ash and alkali concentration. To achieve the optimum level of GGBFS and alkali activator (sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate), ash was first added to the dry weight of the dry matter varied from 0% to 10% and treated with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) under treatment 1, 7 and 28 days One-dimensional test (UCS) is performed and according to the test procedure and the results obtained, a solution of sodium silicate (Na2SO4) is combined to improve the mechanical properties of sodium hydroxide solution with different ratios (sodium hydroxide: sodium silicate) and perform the necessary tests.
