Nowadays, as the manufacturing environment becomes competitive, companies' willingness to reduce supply chain costs has increased. Meanwhile, many researchers have been researching and developing models to reduce the cost of each supply chain link. One of the things that helps reduce costs is the use of a timely production approach in production and distribution environments. In this study, a model is presented to reduce production and distribution costs in a production system in a two-machine workshop environment with a timely production approach, where the second machine performs batch processing of different pallets and With limited capacity, it is used to transport parts, reducing the costs of maintaining, moving and moving pallets, reducing early and late fines, as well as the cost of completing tasks. Between the first and second machines, there is a warehouse for storing goods, and the timing of each pallet's handling and processing is predetermined and independent of the number of tasks involved. To solve the mathematical model of the problem, Cplex software was used in the small size and the genetic algorithm in the larger size. In order to illustrate the impact of the proposed model on increasing the productivity of similar manufacturing departments, the costs of a manufacturing company in the case of implementation and non-implementation of the model are calculated and the amount of cost improvement is calculated. The results show a 34% improvement in the tested cases.
