In this study, three MOFs, Zn2(BDC)2(DABCO), TMU-23 and TMU-24 were prepared using bpfn, bpfb, DABCO H2oba and BDC linkers and Zn(II) as metal nodes. MOF Zn2(BDC)2(DABCO) was utilized as a sensitive and selective sensor for metal ions (M = Zn(II)، Pb(II)، As(III)، Mn(II)، Co(II)، Cu(II)، Cd(II)، Ni(II) and Al(III)) leading to detecting Zn(II) with high sensitivity and significant efficiency in less than 30 min. Moreover, in the presence of other interfering ions, the sensor acted relatively selectively. Finally, completing tests confirmed the proposal mechanisms. Continually, the performance of adsorption potential of MOFs TMU-23 and TMU-24 were examined in the case of heavy metal ions resulting in fast, efficient an selective removal of Pb(II) and Co(II) from wastewater, respectively. The adsorption capacity of TMU-23 for Pb(II) and TMU-24 for Co(II) were measured equal to 473.5 mg. g-1 in less than 30 min and 483.7 mg. g-1 in less than 30 min, respectively. Furthermore, adsorption isothermes for Pb(II) and Co(II) fitted with langmuir model. Also, psudo-second-order model can describe the kinetics data more desirable.
