The main goal of housing, is creating an environment consistent with human life to satisfy his material and spiritual needs. But nowadays we observe ignoring users and their cultural needs in the construction industry. Cultural geographers studied the cultural evolution and its role in shaping the geographical spaces with an emphasis on the principles of geography and the belief on the urban space as a Cultural Landscape (Human) and using these studies can be helpful for architects to achieve the local housing pattern.
The concept of lifestyle is one of those concepts that yet there is no consensus about its meaning, although there have been many attempts to converge on them. Because lifestyle is part of culture, focus on it, is important. In fact, the lifestyle of most people in a community can be an expression of the dominant culture and also life basic components of society. Style and the way of life formed by cultural patterns, habits and behavior and religious beliefs and intellectual climate that people routinely apply them in their personal and social life. This research studies the interplay of culture and lifestyle with referring to various sources and libraries and field research about the Amol people's culture (traditional and contemporary)and compares its impact on the lifestyle of community members in both contemporary and traditional with consideration of factors affecting on it.
Native structure of Tabaristan, had the unique features that due to climatic conditions and anthropology, the central region of Mazandaran. Human's relationship with the indigenous architecture has been preserved in all generations and Home, as part of ancestral identity of its inhabitants has responded to some physical and mental needs over time. To achieve the goal of this project with qualitative and quantitative research methods, both traditional and new houses, have been studied. Social studies along with interviews with residents have also helped to gain an excellent understanding of people’s lifestyle over different periods of time. Using the mentioned methods has resulted in a good understanding of the evolution of housing patterns and their suitable life strategies. At the end, a residential complex for Amol's people was designed, which complies with the native requirements. The design has been based on the way a certain group of people live, which was analyzed through the questionnaires.
