Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) has recently received considerable attention in the world of architecture, engineering, and Construction (AEC). Using BIM creates a model and utilizes this Virtual three-dimensional model enhances the design and construction of a building. Building information modeling All construction management activities, based on contract documents, are dependent on two categories of drawings and specifications. As drawings are used to quantify work and on technical specifications, their quality is defined. In general, BIM adds to two-dimensional drawings and related specifications, three-dimensional modeling components, with specific features. It is that each design member shown in BIM has an array of information in addition to its three-dimensional physical nature Contains various construction management activities and tasks. This information covers the entire project life cycle from the feasibility study to the conceptual design, first and second stage studies, procurement, construction and installation, commissioning, operation period, and even completion. In this study, first, by studying library resources and scientific research in different countries, the influencing factors of BIM use in the construction industry and its risks, advantages, and disadvantages are evaluated. Then, the factors of measuring the economic impact of using BIM on the profits of different companies in the construction industry have been studied and the importance of these criteria in the profitability of construction companies in Iran through field surveys and questionnaire tools has been evaluated. The use of the Chung fuzzy hierarchical analysis method has been prioritized to measure the economic impact of BIM on the construction industry. The results show that increasing human resources costs, improved project outputs such as reducing the demand for information (RFI), and problems of workshop coordination and increasing the cost of software system are recognized as the most important factors influencing the economic analysis of BIM in construction projects.
