Designing enjoyable and exciting products and services has become an important area in user experience design. Emotions are basically individual categories. Different people experience different feelings about the same products. But with the help of design methods, the evaluation of users can be predicted to some extent. The present thesis examines the design of joyful urban furniture with the help of persuasive design principles. For this purpose, after introducing the concepts and methods, the emotions related to the design subject were identified and Fogg's eight-step method was chosen to achieve the purposeful design. In order to recognize the user, card sorting tools and participatory design were used. With the help of the obtained results, ideas were formed and then a questionnaire with 9 emotional dimension was designed in the form of a 5-house Likert and 10 users, ages 8 to 12, were asked to rate the three concepts. After statistical analysis of the output data, the superior design was determined using AHP method. The results of this thesis show that emotional experience, as an indicator factor, acts as a good stimulus to encourage interaction and needs to be strengthened to increase the quality of perceived experience.
