Combustion knowledge plays an essential role in human life due to its undeniable dependence on energy supply. It has long been one of the most important sources of energy for burning various fuels and Meanwhile, metal fuels such as zirconium particles, aluminum, boron, titanium, iron, etc., have been considered due to their high thermal value and combustion temperature. This study first introduces combustion, especially oscillating combustion, and introduces the edge flame. In the following, a review of the works performed in Zirconium combustion and the expression of its history were discussed and the combustion of Zirconium particles in different states was discussed. Unstable behavior of the combustion process is one of the most important issues in the study of this process that needs to be analyzed. Among the various instabilities that may affect the flame, oscillation instability has the widest range (which is itself a type of penetration-thermal instability). And various factors such as: heat loss, changes in oxidizing and fuel levels, changes in speed, etc. (all of which are sub-branches of the important factor of imbalance between the penetration of mass and heat) may cause this instability.Fluctuating behavior will certainly occur in ignition, as well as in flame extinguishing, but fluctuations during flame propagation can exacerbate potential hazards.
