One of the indicators of housing in relation to sustainable development is the social index of housing. Paying attention to humanistic approaches in the residential environment should be the basis for communication and connection of residents, strengthening the sense of belonging and social commitment, in a word, social capital. In this study, the characteristics of life and inter-generational communication, the stimuli of this type of life, environmental characteristics in order to increase inter-generational interactions, the need to address it in order to increase the interactions of different generations with each other, increase vitality, increase the sense of belonging The location and therefore the possibility of experiencing aging in the place will be discussed in detail. The design site of this research is located in Isfahan and in a dilapidated area. Among the reasons for choosing this site are its weaknesses, such as not having enough greenery, lack of security, and generally lacking indicators of a livable neighborhood. According to the assumptions and questions in question, in this research, qualitative and quantitative research methods have been used as content analysis and semantic differentiation methods. The statistical population is 16,630 people, using the Cochran's formula, 375 samples were obtained. In order to respond to the research hypotheses, data collection work was performed, for which purpose a semantic differentiation questionnaire was used. This questionnaire includes a variable and 14 questions that the respondents had to answer between the positive and negative groups of questions in the range of 4-0-4. The questionnaire was first administered to determine the reliability of 30 individuals and then generalized to a larger sample. The results of data analysis in SPSS software show that there is a significant difference between groups 1 and 2 in terms of safety and security, vitality, sense of belonging and physical form. The results of the present questionnaire also examined the significant differences between safety and security variables, life expectancy, sense of belonging and physical form between men and women, between different age groups and single and married people in groups 1 and 2. Finally, according to the theoretical foundations of the research and the findings of the questionnaire, a neighboring unit has been designed that can improve inter-generational life by using urban and regional potentials and create aging in the place.
