Hospital as place where the process of caring for and treating a patient (that part of his body or psycheis damaged) has a particular importance; and in its architecture, people 's centrality and responsiveness to their needs is in priority. While medical centers in our country as well as in many parts of the world, designed and built in such a way that their spaces and environments, not only does it play a positive role in therapeutic and healing purposes, but it also has many negative effects with increasing stress. One of the most important solutions in the last decade, which was used to improve the quality of the environment of the medical centers, is establishing patient 's relationship with nature in these centers. In the modern world, the ever-advancing technology has caused that people distance from nature that has always been his source of inspiration, that this causes and exacerbates problems in the health of the body and soul of individuals especially patients. The use of nature has always been an issue in architectural design and it is mentioned as a factor for peace and lowering mental stress. This study seeks to examine the amount and manner of the relationship with nature in medical spaces, specially in handicapped rehabilitation-residential centers, and through this way providing practical solutions to speed up recovery and the comfort and mental comfort of patients. How to use practical solutions in the field of architecture based on the principles inspired by the nature and biophilic design principles, is one of the goals of this study. Because the lives of disabled is subject to certain limitations, and disability disrupts one 's relationship with the environment, it has been tried to adaptation of environment with special conditions of handicapped in environmental plannings, and through understanding the current state of medical architecture and studying the world 's famous designs approaches, we will find key design principles for therapeutic buildings, from efficiency to the creation of a healing environment, and achieve to express them in architectural language. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the needs of the disabled and their mobility limitations and to create a lively and healing environment for the physical and mental well-being of handicapped based on the principles of biophilic design. The results of the present study provide practical solutions for designing handicapped rehabilitation center using biophilic design principles in order to speed recovery and rehabilitation, restore attention, reducing stress and creating physical and mental comfort.
