در طول چند سال اخير، باور genre ،محور محققاني بوده است كه آموزش زبان اول و دوم را مطالعه مي كنند. به همين ترتيب، چكيده مقاله تحقيقاتي توجه رو به رشدي را در تجزيه و تحليل genre برانگيخته است. اين مطالعه براي نشان دادن اين كه چه نوع NPs complexهايي نويسندگان اغلب در چكيده هاي RA دررشته هاي آموزش، روانشناسي و زبان شناسي كاربردي منتشر شده در 12 مجله معتبر استفاده مي كنند. براي اين كار 240 چكيده به صورت دستي به دنبال مدل Ruanʼs( 2018 )مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفت. جالب اينجاست كه نتايج حاصل از تجزيه و تحليل داده ها نشان داد كه Of phrase as Noun ( 5 ،)Noun + Noun( 2 ،)attributive adjectives +Noun( NPs 1 ،رشته سه درهر NP10 (Adverb و تكرار بيشترين( other prepositional phrase as noun postmodifier( 6 و( postmodifier (Noun + Participle/Adjective + كمترين تكرار را دارند. در مجموع اين سه رشته تنها از نظر انواع 6 NP و 7 به همان ساختارهاي دستوري متكي تر بودند تا به تفاوت معني داري دارند. يافته ها نشان داد كه نويسندگان سه رشته تقريباً طور ضمني معني روابط را بيان كنند. يافته هاي اين مطالعه داراي ارزش در پتانسيل خود براي كاربرد در آموزش زبان و مطالب درسي است.

A Comparative Inter-Disciplinary Study of Complex Noun Phrases in Research Article Abstracts in Education, Psychology, and Applied Linguistics

Abstract Over the last few years, the notion of genre has been the focus of researchers studying first and second language instruction. Likewise, the research article abstracts have aroused growing attention in genre analysis. This study set out to demonstrate what type of complex NPs writers frequently use in RA abstracts in education, psychology, and applied linguistics published in 12 prestigious journals. To this end, 240 abstracts were manually analyzed following Ruanʼs (2018) model. Interestingly, the results of data analysis revealed that in the three majors, NPs 1 (Attributive adjectives + Noun), 2 (Noun + Noun), 5 (Of phrase as noun postmodifier), 6 (Other prepositional phrase as noun postmodifier) were the most frequent ones, and NP10 (Adverb + Adjective/Participle + Noun) was the least frequent one. In total, the three disciplines differed significantly only in terms of NP types 6 and 7. The findings showed that the writers of the three disciplines relied more heavily on almost the same grammatical structures to express meaning relations implicitly. The findings of this study have value in their potential for application for language teaching and materials development.
