اين تحقيق عوامل و مشكلات مهم در نگارش يك مقاله علمي پژوهشي را در نظر گرفت. اين موضوع بيشتر از آنكه از نظر زبانشناختي مهم باشد، از نظر نظم اهميت زيادي دارد. اين تحقيق، يك تحقيق پيمايشي است. ابزار اين تحقيق از نوع كمي است كه بواسطه پرسشنامه تهيه شده است. داده هاي اين تحقيق پيمايشي شامل مجموعه اي از داده ها است كه توسط پاسخ افراد به پرسشنامه بدست آمده است. 122 عضو هيئت علمي در اين تحقيق شركت كردند. اعضاي هيئت علمي، استادان دانشگاه هاي دولتي و دانشگاه آزاد اسلامي بودند كه اين دو دانشگاه بهترين دانشگاه هاي ايران هستند. شركت كنندگان به طور هدفمند از رشته هاي مختلف دانشگاه هاي برتر ايران (دانشگاه تهران ، دانشگاه علوم پزشكي ايران، دانشگاه شريف، دانشگاه شهيد بهشتي، دانشگاه امير كبير، دانشگاه تربيت مدرس، دانشگاه صنعتي اصفهان، دانشگاه علم و صنعت ايران و دانشگاه فردوسي مشهد، دانشگاه علوم پزشكي شهيد بهشتي، دانشگاه شيراز و دانشگاه هنر تهران) انتخاب شدند. پرسشنامه از طريق پست الكترونيكي به شركت كنندگان داده شد. هدف از اين تحقيق، تعيين اين موانع به عنوان يك متغير زباني بود. اين نكته به احتمال از وجود اختلافاتي بين دانشمندان از سوي دانشمندان اشاره دارد. اين اختلافات ممكن است ناشي از قرار گرفتن در معرض زبان انگليسي، ارشديت ، جامعه زباني و قومي باشد. به عبارت ديگر، براي بررسي دقيق اين تفاوت ها در ميان جوامع دانشمندان در زبان دوم، نياز به تحقيقات بيشتر است. بر اساس آمار و ضرايب همبستگي، محقق دريافت كه بين زبان دوم و اضطراب، دشواري و عدم رضايت از نگارش مقالات علمي به زبان انگليسي به عنوان زبان دوم رابطه معني داري وجود دارد.

exploring linguistic injustice in writing of research articles in english as a foreign language: voices from Iranian faculty members

This study considered an important phenomenon which was problems in writing a scientific research article is more of a disciplinary issue than a linguistic one. The design of this study is a survey study. The tool is quantitative which was done by a questionnaire. Survey research is the collection of data attained by asking individuals questions. 122 faculty members took part in this nation-wide study. The faculty members were professors of State and Islamic Azad universities, the two most influential of all Iranian universities. Participants were selected purposefully from different disciplines working the leading universities in Iran (Tehran University, Medical Science University of Iran, Sharif University, Shahid Beheshti University, Amir Kabir University, Tarbiat Modarres University, Sanati Esfahan University, Science and Technology University of Iran, Ferdowsi Mashhad University, Shahid Beheshti Medical Science University, Shiraz University, and Art University of Tehran). The questionnaire was given to the participants through E-mail. This study was situating these difficulties as a linguistic variable. This point to the likelihood that there could be differences among scientists in relation to their perception of burden. These differences may result from exposure to English, seniority, linguistic, and ethnic community. In other words, there is a need for further research to explore exactly these differences among the communities of second-language scientists. Based on statistics and correlation coefficients, the researcher found that there’s a significant relationship among second language and anxiety, difficulty, and (dis)satisfaction for writing scientific articles in English language as a second language.
