With the growing prevalence of online technologies and online learning in universities worldwide, students have increased exposure to online classes. Specifically, during the Covid-19 pandemic, there is no alternative but to move entirely to online learning for many universities that were previously unwilling to change their conventional pedagogical approach. This study aimed to investigate online MA students’ satisfaction, Internet self-efficacy, and online self-regulated learning and determine the contribution of Internet self-efficacy and self-regulated learning to online students’ satisfaction with the online graduate program of TEFL. The participants were 109 online MA students of TEFL at the Iran University of Science and Technology. The instruments were three questionnaires on online satisfaction, Internet self-efficacy, and self-regulated learning, followed by an interview with three questions. The results revealed that most online students were satisfied with the online graduate program of TEFL offered at IUST, as online students interacted with their classmates and professors through social networks, had the chance to use more self-regulatory strategies of note-taking, pre-reading, and cross-referencing, solve daily routine Internet problems, review the recorded videos of their classes, and were given efficient tasks for assignments. The results also showed a low positive correlation between Internet self-efficacy and satisfaction; however, moderate positive correlation was found between self-regulatory skills and satisfaction. The results of multiple regression analysis also indicated that the contribution of online self-regulated learning to satisfaction was higher than that of Internet self-efficacy. Online professors need to consider students’ technological problems to make them ready for online learning and enhance their knowledge by offering training courses to improve their Internet self-efficacy and online self-regulated learning strategies, which are significant in enhancing satisfaction with the online learning program.
