In today's world, railroad transportation is one of the bedrocks of society, by affecting
economic development, railroad transportation goes into some changes too. So, broad rail
grids with exploitation can reduce dilemmas in every timeline. To enhance the railway
system, some factors should be identified and also some factors should be eliminated. One of
these factors is sand moving or in better phrases, blowing sands, occurring in arid areas with
wind erosion. In today's world, railroad transportation is one of the sections of infrastructures
in every society which in addition to affecting economic development, on the wave of the
development, the railroad transportation experience some changes too. In every
development, broad rail networks exploit the ability to confront more difficulties in every
timeline. Wind erosion occurs when soil is sensitive and the speed of wind is considerable.
The resonant factor of wind erosion, pond and river drought, water shortage, low vegetation,
and drought is the small texture of soil that is one of the significant points of arid areas. The
first step to confront soil erosion is to assess effective factors in creating wind erosion. In
Iran, approximately 2.20 million hectares of desert's ecosystem are affected by wind erosion,
and from this amount, 6.7 million hectares are in crises areas. These kinds of circumstances
cause more than 20 percent of the country's area formed by deserts, and as time passes, the
drought crisis will rise more than before. Moreover, in areas that are affected by wind
erosion, railways are more in danger of sand attacks. Locating railways which are more in
danger of sand invasion, when they are about to be designed and built, in case of finding the
most secure way and also in utilization due to protect the rail and train movement on it is very
important. The existence of blowing sands is the main reason for the lack of investment in
railroad network development for establishing railroad networks and exploitation on them
cause line rigidness and railroad tie breakage, closing the railway, slowness in train
movement, and pausing them, as a result, in crises, it can cause train accidents. In Iran,
approximately 535 kilometers of rail networks are affected by blowing sand which can create
horrible accidents plus they are costly. Recognizing these areas due to the extent of the areas
which are affected by this phenomenon, is hard and takes a long time, also costly, if it is
going to be identical. Thus, areas that are affected by sand winds could be analyzed by
imaging by satellite censors, and then analyze that data with interferometry. Proportional
zoning of these areas gives the opportunity of prioritizing, which with that the optimal and
the most effective way for keeping rails which are in are being operated in these areas, even
for choosing the best rail equipment in the way of building the railways or finding the best
way and the less way of in danger of blowing sands in time of building the rails.
