The term IoT was first used in 1999; imagine a world in which everything, even objects, have a digital identity of their own and can use the Internet to transmit information to each other. The Internet of Things can be seen as a new paradigm because it will change the business environment and interactions, forcing organizations to re-evaluate their capabilities, structures and culture. These profound changes require companies to review and change old facts in while defining a new strategy. IoT connections will provide a great opportunity for telecommunications service providers, especially mobile operators. Decreasing revenue and increasing competition for mobile operators, along with the explosive growth of data, create a challenging environment for service providers. According to research, the only industry in which volume has grown by 40 to 60 percent a year, but revenue has decresed, is the telecommunications industry. The winners of the telecommunications industry are those who have realized the opportunity of the Internet of Things, entered the competition for innovation in this field, and then provide scalable and rich data-driven services that focus on cost and convenience while having a positive impact on customers' lives and supply chains. In other definitions, IoT will be at the forefront of providers who innovate by working with technology and analytics providers, professionals, and customers to develop and deploy the next generation of IoT services and networks. The IoT revolution is helping telecommunications providers to generate value in new ways. The growth of Internet business does not exactly follow the traditional business path. The Internet has unique capabilities, such as low-cost, huge number of customer access, the ability of quick interact with large numbers of users, and the ability to offer products and services to its own customers. But in practical ways, Internet investments are very challenging for entrepreneurs and capital Investors and success is a very practical concern due to the mass of competition , the dynamic environment and the great uncertainty. In this research, we have tried to formulate an effective strategy in advancing the goals of mobile operators in IoT investment by applying theoretical principles such as resource-based approach, competitive advantage, competitive and cooperative perspectives, supply chain, entrepreneurship approach. By studying various articles and using the opinions of telecommunication industry experts, a set of questions has been developed to examine and identify the degree of compatibility of theoretical principles with the current situation. From the perspective of purpose this research is paractical, also from the perspective of collecting descriptive survey information in which it examines and explains the current state of IoT technology and its position in the telecommunications industry. In the following, we will formulate practical strategies in IoT-based businesses by examining the current situation of telecommunication organizations in Iran and the readiness of these companies, and using a survey of industry experts. By analyzing the results, we will be able to provide appropriate solutions and suggestions to advance the goals of the Internet of Things. The innovation aspect of the research will also focus on the competitive advantage of operators, which is location-based services.
