Humans have always lived along rivers and streams full of water and are busy in agriculture and horticulture. With increasing population and properties and agricultural products humans needed a place to escape from being plundered by thieves and robbers, so agricultural burgs were built alongside farmland. Agricultural burgs, which can be seen in abundance in the plains of Iran, have been the residence of lords, peasants and farmers. In addition to defensive fortifications (Battlements), all burgs had watermills, windmills, baths, mosques, cisterns, bazaars, and residential houses. Ghurtan burg is an agricultural burg that was built along the Zayandeh River and agricultural lands. And from the 4th century AH to the middle 40s, people lived there who gradually left the burg and settled near the burg. As people left the burg and abandoned it gradually there was widespread destruction and residential houses became a local for livestock and fodder but also despite the mosque, Husseiniyah and holding religious mourning ceremonies (Khak zar), the burgs is still used by the people. To maintain and organize this valuable complex remnant with a sustainable development approach which is the general goal of the plan and strategic planning to develop sustainable tourism in the region with the ability to sustain resources for future generations with the micro-goals (protection, restoration and revival of cultural and historical monuments) strengthening the features, values of Ghurtan Burg complex to sustainable development based on cultural and historical monuments, special location and other factors of the complex has attracted tourists to the historical complex of Ghurtan Burg And provided the conditions for the revival, organization and economic prosperity of the people and the region. In this research, in addition to studying the existing historical documents, books and documents, second-hand study sources are used by the analytical-deductive method and by combining study data, the results of study analysis in the form of constituent information layers are discussed. In the next section, the elements of burg have been investigated for complete recognition. In the pathology section, in addition to classifying the damages, repair strategies and the damage to the burg have been introduced.
