According to the principles of environmental psychology, the psychological study of human behavior is related to his daily life in the physical environment. Environmental psychology examines the relationship between man and the physical environment and the effects of these two on each other in such a way that his values, attitudes and needs are taken into account and the issues that play a fundamental role in explaining people's behavior such as perception, Therefore, environmental psychology is interested in studying the individual and collective experience of people from places, which is a type of basic human behavior. One of the important and key topics of designing urban spaces at the present time, which is closely related to the understanding of the meanings of public spaces, is paying attention to activity-behavior patterns in public places. Therefore, the purpose of the current research is to investigate the effect of activity-behavioral patterns on the formation of public places from the point of view of place psychology in Babataher Square, Hamedan. In this research, the etymology of various methods of evaluating behaviors and behavioral camps and their impact on the formation and design of public places in the first stage, which is based on descriptive-analytical method and reasoning based on logic and documentary methods in this direction, has been discussed. has benefited Finally, the SWOT technique was used to investigate the strategies of the location of behavior on the formation of public places in Baba Taher Square, Hamedan, and the QSPM strategic quantitative matrix technique was used to prioritize the design strategies of public places. A finding of the research shows that the final score of internal factors is 2.805 and the final score of external factors is 2.928, that among the four aggressive, conservative, defensive and competitive positions, these indicators are in a competitive position.
