Since in the cities of Iran, especially the city of Tehran, the gaps created due to the changes of the modern era, construction of highways and crossing the streets have created many open spaces in its periphery, which despite their high capability for various uses are less used. So that they are referred to as abandoned urban spaces. Also, most cities today face a lack of quality space to create collective spaces. Spatial desirability, abandonment and anonymity are among the factors that make it very important to pay attention to location in these spaces. Location is now considered an integral part of urban design. In addition, it should be noted that the view of location brings itself closer to social and human concepts. For this reason, design, the main purpose of which is to create high quality public spaces, is linked. For this reason, environmental designers are always faced with different dimensions in the design of public spaces, and what is important is which of the various influential components in the social relations of those present in the space, which has a more important role.
Therefore, in this research, it is tried to evaluate the desirable indicators of improving the quality of location in abandoned spaces by examining examples of architectural indicators and theories of theorists and explaining the concept of quality of place design, analysis and introduction of components affecting it. By means of them, the optimal use of these spaces to make them desirable and promote the creation of social interactions.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the current location of the site on Iran Zamin Street in Tehran and to validate important dimensions developed in three sensory (semantic), activity, functional and ecological dimensions in order to revive abandoned spaces and design the creation of temporary spaces such as pavilions. This is because their bodies are in permanent spaces that may remain for a short time, but their effect on people's mental perception of the environment and the creation of meaning is more stable and effective. For this reason, it attracts and attracts citizens, which is formed through collective experience and joint presence. The spatial contrast is done to increase the sense of belonging. Finally, this urban show will increase social interactions and turn citizens into active citizens
